COVID-19: Ages 0-19 had most new cases last week in Taylor Country

The percentage of COVID-19 inpatients in the Abilene trauma service area was 1.31% Tuesday, compared to 1.35% Monday and 1.25% Sunday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 website.

COVID-19: Eight Big Country counties report zero active cases

The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District on Thursday reported two COVID-19-linked deaths, 17 new cases and three recoveries. The age and gender of the deceased were not released. The total number of county deaths connected to the coronavirus is 410.  Of the new cases, 13 were confirmed via polymerase chain reaction tests.  Active cases increased to 126 (38 PCR cases and 88 confirmed by antigen tests), compared to 115 on Wednesday. The percentage of COVID-19 inpatients in the Abilene trauma service area was 1.55% Wednesday, compared to 1.30% Tuesday and 1.12% Monday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 website. Eight Big Country counties report zero active cases, according to the state COVID-19 website.
