The search for a new Ward 2 councillor in Lucan-Biddulph has begun after the resignation of former Coun. Peter Mastorakos was accepted during the June 1 regular council meeting.
As part of the motion to accept the resignation of Mastorakos and declare the Ward 2 seat vacant, councillors directed staff to prepare a report to be presented during the next council meeting on June 15. The report will outline options for filling the position.

The Middlesex-London health unit reported only 17 new cases Tuesday and zero new deaths. London was the only community in the region to report a new case Tuesday. The region now has 12,247 total cases, 11,794 of those resolved and 234 active cases which is a 26 case drop from Monday.
