(Middletown Police Department) MIDDLETOWN, CT An Alabama woman has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting Monday night in Middletown, according to police. Melody Jean Christensen, 44, of Centre, Alabama, was arrested Thursday on a warrant after being found at a hotel in East Hartford. She was charged with murder and illegal discharge of a firearm. Christensen was held in lieu of a $1.5 million bond and was expected to be arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court on Friday. Subscribe The arrest stems from a domestic violence incident that happened around 11 p.m. in Middletown when police responded to a call for shots fired at an undisclosed address, according to officials. Police found that two people had been shot, including Christensen.
