A Boston man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing child pornography in January.
Eric Tran Thai, 39, filmed boys in the bathroom at Boston Latin School. An investigation of his home revealed multiple cameras and other equipment, along with digital folders labeled with various local schools, malls, airports, and places outside the country, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Massachusetts, said in a press release.
Back in February 2018, two different Boston College students reported that they were videotaped while using one of the men’s restrooms on campus, according to the release.

In September 2019, a police tactical team broke down the door to Lashanda Morgan’s North Brunswick home to execute a search warrant.
They were not looking for her, nor drugs or weapons, but motor vehicle VIN numbers and a key fob, as part of a stolen vehicle ring they suspect her then boyfriend was part of. He was there, and arrested.
The officers had a “knock and announce” warrant, but video of the entry – captured on Morgan’s home security system - shows they waited maybe two seconds between knocking and busting inside. On the way out, an officer tampered with the security system, which had recorded the swift entry, shortly after 5 a.m.
“The Defendant simply wishes the Court overlook that Skelly’s is literally in the business of packing, transporting, operating, and re-packing of tons of carnival equipment throughout the tri-state area during their operating season,” Milton Brown, one of the family’s attorneys, wrote in brief opposing a change in sites.
“A handful of Middlesex County Superior Court appearances by individuals during this litigation is certainly not more burdensome from a strictly convenience standpoint,” Brown wrote.
The case involves at least 20 witnesses currently, nearly all from South Jersey including 10 from Cumberland County, plus seven New Jersey State Police troopers.

One of two men sought by investigators for allegedly robbing a couple at gunpoint in Woodbridge earlier this month was arrested Tuesday, officials said.
