Sabres Great Ryan Miller Breaks Down in Tears With Parents After Final NHL Game
For an entire generation of Sabres fans, Ryan Miller was an idol. He was someone that kids in Buffalo and Western New York looked up to. Kids wanted to be the goalie in ice or street hockey, because of watching Ryan Miller with the Buffalo Sabres.
In case you haven t heard, Miller announced his retirement less than 10 days ago and on Saturday, he played his final NHL game with the Anaheim Ducks against the Minnesota Wild.
After the game was over and Miller was congratulated by teammates and fans alike, he shared a very intimate and heartwarming moment with his parents. It s very hard to not watch it and not get emotional yourself.

In the last several weeks I have been grappling with a curious question. Why are some people willing to drive hundreds of miles to get vaccinated against Covid-19 while others are adamantly opposed to it? I believe that I have come closer to an answer.
In my mind, this dichotomy of attitudes about the vaccine is rooted in three factors: Truth, Trust and Tribe.
The first factor is truth. The question is ‘What is true and what isn’t?’ Some would claim that the truth is a matter of opinion, of a world-view, and that each of us is entitled to their own opinion, and to their own truth. I may see the truth in one way, and you may see it differently. But for most practical questions, and more specifically for all medical questions, the truth is singular. Think about the following question: Is Covid-19 just as bad as a seasonal flu, or is it more easily transmittable, and more deadly? Or consider another question: are vaccines against Covid-19 safe and effective?

The NFL Draft streak for the Michigan State Spartans football program is officially over. The 80-year-streak (which was third-longest in the country) ends as zero Spartans heard their name called during the 2021 NFL Draft. The good news is cornerback Shakur Brown was immediately picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The fact that Brown was not selected was pretty shocking. He was projected by many analysts as a fourth or fifth-round pick, and nearly 40 cornerbacks were selected in this year’s draft. Perhaps Brown’s poor testing numbers at his pro day, and a lack of height, hurt his draft stock.
2022 Five Star and Number One Recruit Emoni Bates (Junfu Han / USA TODAY Sports)
Emoni Bates announced today that he would be opening his recruitment back up and would decomitt from the Michigan State Spartans. He said that he would like to consider all of his college and professional options. It has long been rumored that Bates would jump straight to the NBA G League or even a jump straight to the NBA pending an NBA rule change. He is still presumably considering Michigan State along with other NCAA programs. Bates is the number one overall recruit in the Class of 2022.
