Graham Bowlin held off Bobby Zalenski and Mitchell DeJong to earn his first career eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series, prevailing Tuesday at a virtual Watkins Glen International.
The series has featured 12 winners over the first 13 events. Bowlin had been the highest-ranked driver in the season point standings without a victory, so the Tuesday result seals his spot in the playoffs.
DeJong bumped Bowlin on the last lap, but Bowlin maintained his cool en route to the checkered flag.
Bowlin, in the No. 10 Ford, topped Zalenski, in the No. 83 Chevrolet, by 0.754 seconds, never leading by more than one second. DeJong, in the No. 23 Toyota, came in third. Steve Wilson, in the No. 17 Ford, and Nick Ottinger, in the No. 25 Chevrolet, claimed fourth and fifth place, respectively.

After taking a year off, the Ionia Free Fair made its return a few weeks ago. And while it may have been all fun and games, at least ten COVID cases have been linked back to the fair.
The Ionia Health Department is asking people who are unvaccinated and attended the fair to get tested for COVID-19. Regardless of vaccination status, anyone who went and begins feeling sick is urged to get tested. Health officials connected 10 positive cases back to festival goers. The attendees were infectious at the time, reports FOX 17.
The fair ran from July 16 to July 24.
Ionia County Health Department recently posted on their Facebook about the severity of the Delta variant, even for those who have gotten their shot.
5 Points to Ponder: The Rest of the 2021 NASCAR Season
ONE: Which Hendrick Motorsports is for real?
Hendrick Motorsports caught fire this summer, its best performance in the NASCAR Cup Series since Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were on the roster in 2014. From Dover International Speedway in May to the first Pocono Raceway event the end of June, HMS won six straight races and produced the first 1-2-3-4 finish in team history.
Kyle Larson led the way, posting three wins and seven top-two performances in an eight-race stretch. But he wasn’t the only success story. William Byron became the youngest driver ever to post 11 straight top-10 finishes at age 23. Alex Bowman muscled his way to a contract extension with three wins. And Chase Elliott, despite some bumps in the road, remains poised to defend his championship on the strength of multiple road course victories.
