Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has apologized for violating her own COVID-19 protocols after she was spotted on social media at a restaurant with 12 of her friends sitting at tables pushed together.
“Throughout the pandemic, I’ve been committed to following public health protocols,” Whitmer said in a statement.
“On Saturday, I went with friends to a local restaurant. As more people arrived, the tables were pushed together.
