He was just a hero,” is how Roisin McDermott of Celbridge Tidy Towns described Celbridge native, Christopher (Chris, Kit) Noonan, 63, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 18.
Among other things, many in Celbridge will recall Christopher walking along the Maynooth and Agards road, picking up the litter.
You could meet him at 6.30 in the morning or 11 at night.
“They are missing him already around Tesco and the Shackletown road,” said Roisin.
Chris was laid to rest at Donaghcumper Cemetery on February 22 after a funeral mass in St Patrick’s Church.

WA Police Union president Harry Arnott has been stood aside from his position after a police investigation was launched into him.
In a statement, the union said its board of directors was recently made aware of an active WA Police Force managerial investigation into Mr Arnott.
At a meeting held yesterday without Mr Arnott, the board unanimously voted to direct him to take leave, effective immediately.
The annual colours match between Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin was due to take place yesterday. The match was postponed, not because of Covid-19 restrictions but because of supermarket panic buying. As a result there simply wasn t enough flour, eggs and cabbages to be had so that they could be thrown liberally about the terraces.
