Pic: Getty Images/Bina Taylor The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is proposing to authorize the Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation Limited’s (QDO) Fair Go Dairy licensing scheme for five years.
Under the scheme, QDO, a not-for-profit advocacy organization representing the interests of dairy farmers across Queensland, will grant processors a license to use the ‘Fair Go Dairy’ logo on qualifying dairy products.

Improvement needed on Australia’s Dairy Code compliance The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has published an update on dairy processors’ compliance with the Dairy Code of Conduct, and said improvements are needed.
Areas of concern identified in the update include processors’ compliance with the publishing obligations, as well as the code’s single document, termination and supply period requirements.
The code has been in effect for one year, and dairy processors have been required to publish their standard form milk supply agreements for six months.
From January 1, 2021, all milk supply agreements, regardless of when they were entered into, must be compliant with the code.
