Felix Wemheuer ist Sinologe und forscht an der Universität zu Köln, wo er seit 2014 den Lehrstuhl für Moderne China-Studien innehat. Zu Beginn des Jahrtausends studierte er zwei Jahre an der Volksuniversität in Beijing (Peking) am Institut der Geschichte der Kommunistischen Partei China.
