Already, the Flour Mills Nigeria said it is investing over $300 million in the establishment of a sugar manufacturing company in Nasarawa state to stimulate economic activities in the state and provide employment opportunities to the people of the state. Group Managing Director /CEO FMN, Mr. Omoboyede Olusanya, made the call during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Nassarawa State Government, following its acquisition of 20,450 hectares of land to build a sugar company in Toto Local Government Area of the state.

Bindon Blood Stoney was the Executive Engineer at Dublin Port from 1868 until 1898, and was Assistant Engineer before that, a job he took on after a period as Assistant Astronomer at Birr near his family home in Offaly - arguably the most un-maritime of all Irish counties.
This year marks the 150th Anniversary of the inaugural use of Dublin Port s pioneering diving bell, and Thursday 27th May will see the first of three 40-minute online lectures (the other two are on 3rd June and 10th June) organised by the Port s Heritage & Communications Group to celebrate and detail the city-port s remarkable expansion in the latter half of the 19th Century.
