The best talent in the townships often leave the community and shapes the world outside our townships ecosystem, and those who remain behind make uninformed decisions without expert advice, preventing the building of a strong township economy, writes

The nature of the township economy across the country has always allowed unemployed people the opportunity to put bread on the table, and often times clothes on their back.
The local economy continues to be underdeveloped.
It unfortunately has little support from the government and/or the private sector. In addition, it continues to be infiltrated by financially advanced corporations that muscle out smaller, struggling informal traders. Their obvious advantage in buying in bulk, or even producing at minimal costs gives them the upper hand where the smaller traders do not have the options to save on stock or product
