Valletta-to-Gozo ferries arrive in Malta, to start operating on June 1

Gozo Fast Ferry Ltd’s eco-friendly, high-speed passenger crafts have arrived from Singapore in time to start operating a shuttle service between Valletta and Gozo from June 1. The 40-metre, state-of-the-art vessels, which come at an investment of €10 million, arrived on Thursday night on a 148-metre cargo ship and were being offloaded into the sea on Friday. Built in 2018, the seacraft - Your Faith and Your Wisdom - come equipped with the latest environmental technology, advanced navigation capabilities, and can carry 300 passengers during each 45-minute trip. “We have gone through great lengths to invest in quality, and our clients and the environment were foremost in our mind. In the coming days, we will be announcing our ferry schedules - once these are cleared by the authorities - together with a price mechanism that will be very competitive and attainable by all,” a company spokesman said.

Gozo Fast Ferry Ltd To Run High-Speed Service Between Malta & Gozo   As of June, Gozo Fast Ferry Ltd will start operating a fast-ferry service between Gozo and Valletta, using two state-of-the-art high-speed passenger crafts.     The company – backed by Bianchi Group and Merrill Investments – has notified Transport Malta of its intention to offer this service after the market was liberalized. They have invested in two modern, eco-friendly, high-speed catamarans that are equipped with the latest technology to operate in full compliance with the requirements of the Port Notice issued by Transport Malta.     Each vessel can comfortably carry 300 passengers per trip and will make the journey between Mġarr, Gozo, to the Grand Harbour in under 45 minutes!
