The Weymouth gymnastics team might have scored a shade less in its second meet, but it feels it did some good things.
In its opening virtual meet, Weymouth scored 129 points on Jan. 30, but in the next meet against Newton North High School, the Wildcats scored a tenth of a point less, 128.9 (Feb. 6)
Newton North clinched the meet, but details on the score were not available when the News went into production.
Wildcats coach Maria Culbreth feels good about what she saw from her team.
“Although the score was slightly lower, one tenth lower than last week’s 129.0,” Culbreth said it did not reflect the team’s overall performance.

On paper, Molly Higgins and Kelsey Rynkiewicz may not seem that similar: Higgins is a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, while Rynkiewicz is an athletic trainer at Eastern Connecticut State University.
But both women are students in the UConn School of Nursing’s Healthcare Innovation Online Graduate Certificate program and are prototyping ideas that could solve issues at their workplaces brought to light by the COVID-19 pandemic.
