An alternative offer to Silver Lake, valuing New Zealand Rugby at a colossal $3.8 billion, has been tabled by local investment manager Forsyth Barr.
The Auckland head-quartered company has conducted due diligence on the prospect of NZR selling a five per cent stake in its future commercial revenues through an NZX listing and believes investor demand could potentially raise as much as $650m.
Under the terms of the Forsyth proposal – conducted at the request of the New Zealand Rugby Players Association which is not supportive of selling a stake in the national game to US fund manager Silver Lake - NZR would be able to raise between $170m and $190m, with as much as 40 per cent of the offering being open to mum and dad investors who could buy in for as little

On Dec. 17, 2007 a valiant young man opened a new restaurant, CREW, at 280 Railroad Ave. in Greenwich.
Youthful at that time, Chris Geideman (aka Geidy) already had 20 years of restaurant experience under his belt. I first knew of him as a manager of the beloved Boxing Cat Grill in Old Greenwich. Sadly for us, Chris sold the business, and CREW closed April 24, 2021 after an amazing 14-year run.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday released Rs 920 crore to the bank accounts of 42 lakh farmer families in the state under the Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA) scheme.
Through the Direct Benefit Transfer Mode, financial assistance was transferred to the bank accounts of 37 lakh small and marginal farmers and approximately 5 lakh landless agriculture households (LAH).
