Charges dropped against husband of ex-Nelsonville deputy auditor

Charges against Richard Wilson, 51, of Stewart, the husband of the City of Nelsonville’s ex-deputy auditor, Stephanie Wilson, were dropped Monday in Athens County Common Pleas Court. Kirstie Paton, a teacher at the John Roan School for 20 years, is facing dismissal at a disciplinary hearing today (April 30) after speaking out about health and safety at the school. So a number of teachers and union reps have walked out on the eve of the teacher s disciplinary hearing, and have threated further strikes if the employer goes ahead with their threat to dismiss her. The NEU has led calls to strike in defence of Kirstie, who is a NEU co-representative at the Greenwich school, and say that they have been left with no choice but to defend their rep.
