Peamount hit Cork for six in cup final to seal double

Peamount 6 Peamount United ended two years of Women s FAI Cup final pain as they thrashed Cork City 6-0  in the Tallaght Stadium decider to seal the league and cup double. Peamount came into the game hoping to go third time lucky in three years in the decider, having lost the last two finals to Wexford Youths, and having not won the trophy since 2010, while Cork City were hoping to add a second victory after their 2017 triumph.  A scoreless and somewhat stale first half had seen the league champions enjoy the better of the play, without looking like making a breakthrough.
