Times Herald-Record
TOWN OF WALLKILL - Many who attended the funeral service for Barry Weissman had been slapped with a traffic summons by the late sergeant at some point or another. Even the pastor who presided over the service, and one of Weissman s best friends.
The two told the audience their separate stories of seeing the glow of Weissman s police cruiser lights behind them, feeling the drop in their stomach, and listening to the authoritative, intimidating, stern lecture for which Weissman was well known.
If he saw you on the road breaking the law, he would hold you accountable. It was what many said they loved most about him.
