Not all parents are in a hurry for schools to reopen. Why the divide?

Ronice Bruce’s two teenage children haven’t been inside a classroom in more than 350 days.
Other parents in the Montclair school district have rallied for in-person learning. The Board of Education wants a judge to order teachers back into their classrooms. And Bruce is well, just fine waiting for school buildings to reopen in September, she said.
Bruce, a widow, has already lost six friends to COVID-19, she said. She isn’t in a rush to see Montclair schools open until the virus is fully under control.
