SANFORD, Maine – Opening day for the new mass COVID vaccination clinic at the former Marshalls store at 1364 Main Street in Sanford will be Tuesday, March 2. Southern Maine Health Care spokesperson Allison Kenty said the 29,000-square-foot site will have the capacity to vaccinate up to 1,000 people a day, thanks to the partnership among SMHC parent organization MaineHealth, the York County Emergency Management Agency and the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This clinic will make a big difference in our efforts to vaccinate our community, Kenty said Tuesday. Following March 2, the clinic will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. every day but Tuesdays.

Good News: Jacksonville woman wins $25K in Gannett contest

She began to feel better about the call. But the thrill didn t really start to hit her, Mock said, until the Jan. 22 presentation celebrating her win at Carpet One Floor & Home, the contest s local sponsor. The oversized check, flowers and balloons all helped. Then, several days later, the actual check arrived at her house.
