A 24-year-old Marshall man has been charged with felonies for allegedly breaking into a residence and assaulting a woman on January 5.
According to a Marshal Police report, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Summit Street after a juvenile reported a man was entering a home where he had been banned and was assaulting the juvenile’s mother.
Authorities say the woman was noticeably shaken up. A juvenile witness said Erik Ivan Aguirre entered the residence and started pulling the woman’s hair. Authorities say the victim was bleeding from her mouth from being punched by Aguirre. She did not know how many times she was hit by Aguirre. Her right cheek also was swollen. Aguirre was arrested at the scene.

MINNEOTA Â A domestic incident was reported at 11:18 a.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West Third Street, Minneota Police said. No further information was available.
TRACY Â A suspicious incident was reported at 6:18 a.m. Wednesday on the 400 block of East Fourth Street, Tracy Police said. No further information was available.

Marshall Police have released the name of a man found dead in Marshall on Friday. Although a death investigation is ongoing, no foul play is suspected, Police said Monday.
Dorane Pogatchnik, 63, of Marshall was found outdoors on the 500 block of Country Club Drive in Marshall, Police said. Police responded to a call of a possible deceased person around noon on Friday, and responding officers found Pogatchnik deceased at the scene. The incident is under investigation, with assistance from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Lyon County Coroner and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A 32-year-old Marshall man has been found guilty of a felony after an incident in August.
According to a Marshall Police report, on August 22, 2020, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call. When officers arrived, the victim told authorities that Adam Emde began to choke her while she was holding her infant son. She says Emde slammed her and the child onto the bed while still holding her by the throat; then threw her onto the floor and struck her arm with his open hand. The victim also stated that Emde placed her in a headlock and threw her out of the bedroom into the bathroom door. The victim claimed that Emde also smashed her head into the kitchen door. When he did this, the child’s head also hit the door, causing injury.
