On Thursday morning, the Marshall security group received a duress call about a woman going into labour in the Avoca area. Some moments later, a baby is born.

A woman who was screaming outside the gate of a residence on Bailey Road, Avoca, prompted the residents to call their security reaction company for help. It was revealed that the woman lives on the street and had gone into the community for help.
Marshall Security dispatched their Armed Reaction Officer once they received the call and once the officer got to the scene, he had found the woman in active labour and screaming in pain.

DURBAN - A reaction officer from Marshall Security has been hailed a hero after he helped a mum delivery her baby in the early hours of this morning.
“In the early hours of this morning, Marshall Security received requests for assistance with a woman in suspected labour in Bailey Road, Avoca.
“We immediately dispatched our Armed Reaction Officer to investigate as well as ambulance services to the scene,” a spokesperson for Marshall Security said.
When the officer arrived at the scene, he found that the woman was in active labour and her water had broken.
