The 15-year-old girl was targeted on Southampton Common sometime between 1am to 5am on December 12.
Detectives called for anyone who was on or near the common between those hours to come forward.

Police said that officers had been carrying out inquiries in the local area.
They were also conducting CCTV inquiries and would like to hear from anyone who lives on Marshall Square, Barkshire Court, Hulse Road, Northlands Road and Cemetery Lane in Southampton.
Today, a police spokesman said: Do you have private CCTV covering any of these locations? Perhaps you were driving through the area at the time.

Aerial eye in the sky pics - Southampton - Southampton Common. A RAPE investigation has been launched after a 15-year-old girl was reportedly raped in a Southampton park. A 15-year-old girl is alleged to have been raped on Southampton Common. According to police, the incident happened between 1am and 5am on Saturday 12 December. However, it was only reported on Sunday, December 20. The girl is being supported by specially trained officers and a witness appeal has now been launched. Police want to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage and who lives on Marshall Square, Barkshire Court, Hulse Road, Northlands Road and Cemetery Lane.
