Heavy explosions and sound of gunshots which engulfed some parts of Maiduguri, the Borno State capital have claimed many lives with others injured.
This has forced many residents in the affected areas to scamper for safety, as reliable Information revealed that one of the explosions fired into Adam Kolo/Shehuri behind, a populated community behind Shehu of Borno’s palace, Kaleri and Limanti wards killed 15 persons with a lot of others sustaining injuries.
The explosion and firing of Rocket Propelled grenades which started at about 5:45pm upto the time of filing in this report were heard around Kaleri behind University of Maiduguri, Adam Kolo, Limanti and Kagarmari wards of the metropolis.
Attahiru gave the ultimatum on Sunday while addressing troops of the Nigerian Army Super Camp 9, Dikwa.
He said: “areas around Marte, Chikingudu, Wulgo Kirenowa and Kirta must be cleared in the next 48 hours.
“You should rest assured of all support you required in this very onerous task.
“I have just spoken to the Theater Commander and the General Officer Commanding 7 Division, you must not let this nation down. Go back and do the needful and I will be right behind you.
“You are aware of the recent attack on Dikwa and Marte, you should not allow this to happen again, go after them and clear these bastards,” Attahiru said.

Dikwa is about a 60km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital and a stone's throw from Mafa Local Government Area, where Governor Babagana Zulum hail from.
