At 6-foot-4 and 301 pounds, Spencer brings some interesting talent to the table but he comes with some weight-management concerns and a hit-or-miss motor. However, he finished the 2020 season with 17 stops, 8.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, and one forced fumble. He even picked off a pass.
Under the wing of Broncos venerated D-line coach Bill Kollar, Spencer will soon face a do-or-die situation where a lackluster motor will not be tolerated. If any team can make something of Spencer, it s the Broncos for the reason alone.
Spencer will join a D-line in Denver that has some top-heavy talent in Shelby Harris, Mike Purcell, and Dre Mont Jones at the top, with 2020 third-rounder McTelvin Agim, Shamar Stephen, Deshawn Williams, Deyon Sizer, Isaiah Mack, and Jonathan Harris.
• If you believe the week begins Sunday, then you can proudly proclaim that the NFL Draft begins THIS WEEK. It’s exciting to think about bringing in new players who can help the Chicago Bears now and in the future. This thing can go in so many different directions. And while I’m certain we can say this about
every NFL Draft, it’s especially true this year.
• Think about the Bears’ different needs. They can pick a receiver, lineman, or cornerback at 20 and I wouldn’t bat an eye. It would be easy to green-light a pick at a position of need. The team could also mortgage other draft capital to move up to take a quarterback. Who the Bears take would be a point of contention for some, but it’s hard to argue against making the climb to fortify that position. The only thing easier would be building an argument for trading back and adding draft picks. Seriously … there are many different options that would be easy to approve from where we stand as of right now.

As his lethal combination of speed and power separates him from the norm, there is every reason to belive Marquiss Spencer will excel as a pro.
Spencer stands at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds. As a Bulldog, he accumulated 106 total tackles and seven sacks. Spencer also forced three fumbles and recovered three. He has a nose for the ball and is unafraid to take risks.
Today’s pro defenses pride themselves on setting the edge, a large part of Spencer’s game. Comperable to former Bulldog and Washington Football Team star defensive end Montez Sweat, Spencer has a quick first step. Additionally, he forces backs to run downhill.
We’re so close.
The official start of the 2021 NFL season is just six short days away (March 17). At that point, trades will become official and the free agency period will open, with the NFL Draft (April 29) looming in the close future as well.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to be aggressive throughout the offseason in its pursuit of new players to join its new coaching staff, due to both the bounty of resources it has available and head coach Urban Meyer’s desire to make the team competitive as soon as possible:
“Other than developing culture, the most important thing is talent acquisition,” Meyer recently told Jaguars.com. “I can t imagine a more important month for the Jaguars organization than the next month.”
