SOLANO COUNTY, Calif The Markley Fire, which later became part of the LNU Lightning Complex Fire last August, is now being investigated as arson.
The Solano County Sheriff s Office believes 29-year-old Victor Serriteno out of Vacaville started the fire while trying to cover up the death of 32-year-old Priscilla Castro of Vallejo.

FAIRFIELD A man already charged with murder in connection with a Vallejo woman’s death now faces murder and arson charges in connection with a wildfire that raged into Solano County last year and killed two rural Solano County men.
Victor Serriteno, 29, was in a Fairfield courtroom Friday in connection with the new allegations.
Serriteno remains in jail without bail. He faces two counts of first-degree murder along with one count each of arson of an inhabited structure, arson during a state emergency and an arson enhancement to the murder charge that could make him eligible for the death penalty.

A Vacaville man has been arrested and charged with murder and arson after allegedly starting the Markley Fire, attempting to cover up a murder. The massive Marley Fire killed two residents, after Victor Serriteno allegedly killed Priscilla Castro and started after the fire in attempt to cover up the murder. The fire exploded resulting in more than 30,000n acres burnt, and killing 64-year-old Leon Bone and 82-year-old Douglas Mai.
Serriteno was initially arrested for the murder of Castro in September 2020, after the missing woman s body was found in Stebbins Cold Canyon . Yet, after an 8 month fire and police investigation, investigators believe Serriteno intentionally started the Markley Fire to cover up Castro s murder. Serriteno now faces two additional murder charges, arson, and more.

Homicide suspect accused of starting wildfire in attempted cover-up of killing
A 29-year-old Vacaville man has been charged with killing a woman and setting a fire to cover up the crime. KTVU s Henry Lee reports on the wildfire that was sparked, which killed two other people, and the recent arrest.
VACAVILLE, Calif. - Harrowing Vacaville police body-camera video from August showed officers frantically evacuating residents from the fast-moving Markley Fire.
Investigators say Victor Serriteno started the fire to cover up his killing of Priscilla Castro, a woman he had met online for a date.
In a press briefing, police said the fire was started in Northern California's Solano County on August 18, 2020 near where cops found the burned body of 32-year-old missing person.
