Jordan s Way raises $10,700 for Des Moines County Humane Society The Hawk Eye Kandi Hillyer was shivering Tuesday night after she got hit with ice water outside the Des Moines County Humane Society. Her staff  nailed me with about eight buckets. I was completely drenched. It was not warm whatsoever. I think they have been wanting to do that for years, the shelter director laughed. The experience was totally worth it, Hillyer said.  It was an amazing night. The event marked the shelter s Facebook live fundraiser with nationally-known charity founder Kris Rotonda raising more than $10,000.  Jordan s Way live-streams energetic fundraisers for animal shelters around the country.
