Surving a couple of early takedowns in the first-two minutes from the Nova Friburgo, Font defended well off his back, and despite partially eating a patented whipping switch kick, kept his composure to Stun the former WSOF champion on the feet.
Utilizing massive hooks and straights, the Massachusetts native stunned and dropped Moraes with referee, Marc Goddard keeping a close eye on the #3 ranked Moraes. Eventually sealing the deal and doing enough for Goddard to step in, Font landed a punshing elbow from guard before a couple more ground-and-pound strikes.
While speaking with former two-weight world champion and UFC colour-commentator, Daniel ‘DC’ Cormier afterwards, Font noted the impending return of former two-time division kingpin, T.J. Dillashaw.

LAS VEGAS If Jose Aldo is showing any signs of slowing down at age 34, it was not apparent this weekend in Las Vegas.
Aldo (29-7) snapped the longest skid of his career on Saturday, as he picked up his first win in four appearances by defeating Marlon Vera (18-7-1) via unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bantamweight fight 29-28. It co-headlined UFC Fight Night inside the Apex.

IT’S TIME! The UFC Vegas 17main event between Stephen Thompson and Geoff Neal is about to begin…
Round 1: Stephen Thompson is throwing big kicks early but missing. He goes low with his next few and manages to land. Another upstairs is well blocked by Geoff Neal. ‘Wonderboy’ touches the body then gets on his bike to get away from Neal who is constantly pushing forward. Thompson finds himself up against the cage and Neal lets his hands go for the first time. Thompson is using the threat of his strikes to create distance and avoid spending to much time against the fence. Thompson is tapping his man at every opportunity. Neal is chasing forward trying to land a knockout blow but is unable to catch ‘Wonderboy’. Thompson tires a spinning back kick but slips. The two fighters come together and clash heads. Thompson is cut above the eye and referee Marc Goddard temporarily stops the fight. Neal is also cut from the accidental headbutt. The fight recommences and aft

Thompson returns 13 months after stopping the rise of slugger Vicente Luque at UFC 244, a bout that left him with serious hand injuries that took him out of action for much of 2020.
Neal comes into the fight on a seven-bout winning streak. One year ago, he became the first fighter to knock out Mike Perry with a 90-second stoppage at UFC 245; a serious health scare kept him benched afterward.
