Ottawa’s top taxi companies are bracing for hefty insurance hikes later this year, even as the pandemic has decimated the business and reduced risk.
“Our renewal is going to increase 30 to 35 per cent, in an era where there’s less work, less traffic, less accidents, less risk,” said Marc André Way, president of Coventry Connections, Ottawa’s largest cab company, which operates Blue Line, Capital and Westway Taxi.
