SAN MARCOS (KUSI) – As some California school districts still are not holding five days a week, in-person instruction for our students, frustration from both parents and teachers is growing.
San Marcos High School teacher Alissa Piro was recorded going off on students during a Zoom call after she dared parents to “come at” her because she was “sick” of them telling her how she should do her job.
Specifically, she was speaking to the parents who simply want their students back in the classroom full-time.
California is one of the only states in the country yet to resume in person classes, dozens of other states have proved it to be safe, but some of our teachers still refuse to return to the classroom.
“If your parent wants to talk to me about their profession and their opinion on their profession, I would love to hear that…,” she says.
“However, if your parent wants to come talk to me about how I’m not doing a good enough job in distance learning based on what you need as an individual? Just dare them to come at me. Because I am so sick to my stomach of parents trying to tell educators how to do their job.”
She also appears to be yelling at a student about a “white student union.” “You don’t need a White student union, Jake. You get everything,” she yelled. Talk about yikes.

A California high school teacher was caught on a Zoom video telling students to "dare" their parents "to come at" her in response to parents' collective push to end remote learning and have their children return to in-person classes full time.
