The City of Marco Island announced Thursday it will temporarily close its camps after the Parks and Recreation Department recently reported five positive COVID-19 cases among campers.
According to the city’s press release, Mackle Park will be closed Friday through Sunday and will reopen to the public Monday. The facility will be deep cleaned while it’s closed.
The city said it’s following CDC guidelines, and camp will be closed from July 23 through July 30. Camp will reopen Aug. 2.
