Field Notes on Love, from Warner Bros and HBO Max. The movie will be an adaptation of Jennifer E. Smith’s 2019 YA romance novel of the same, which follows the story of Hugo and Margaret (Mae for short). According to the book synopsis, Hugo and his girlfriend, Margaret Campbell, are about to head into their long-planned trip across the U.S. before heading into university. But nothing goes as planned when Margaret dumps him. She doesn’t leave him empty-handed though: He’s left with the non-transferable tickets, booked under her name.
