Denver Police confirmed that human remains were discovered in two suitcases in the Mar Lee neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner determined on Wednesday that the remains belonged to a recently deceased adult white male, said Denver Police Department Lt. Matt Clark.
Information about the cause and manner of death will be released by the medical examiner at a later date.
City workers from Denver s Parks and Recreation Department were plowing sidewalks near the Sanderson Gulch area at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, and found two suitcases in the 1700 block of South Java Way.
The workers briefly inspected the suitcases, which were found on the west side of the street, and later contacted DPD about a suspicious bag.
