Moira Biz Aid supports businesses
Moira Shire Council has launched a special funding opportunity to assist businesses that have been financially impacted by COVID-19.
Mayor Libro Mustica said this funding was specifically for businesses to access professional support services and was encouraging them to apply for Moira Biz Aid to better their business’s position.
“Feedback from our business community has provided insight into the effects COVID-19 has had on most industries in our shire with some businesses losing between 30 to 90% of their income for periods of time,” Cr Mustica said.
“Our Economic Development Department is offering businesses the opportunity to receive up to $1,000 in professional services support through a series of one to one sessions.

Applications are now open for our Innovative Services are Better Services program.
Mayor Libro Mustica said this program had been developed in response to changes to funding arrangements for community care services to people with disabilities, who are frail or aged.
“The Innovative Services program aims to strengthen the community care and services sector through the provision of funds to address existing or emerging unmet needs in our region,” Cr Mustica said.
“It will be of particular interest to service providers and not-for-profit community organisations who are seeking funding to deliver an innovative service.
“Funding up to $131,750 will be offered on a triennial basis to allow funding surety to implement programs or projects and evaluate outcomes.
