NMS Lists Covid-19 Vaccination Centres in Nairobi The first shots of the Covid-19 vaccines being administered in Kenya on March 5, 2021. Twitter Nairobi Metropolitan Services director of Health services Dr. Josephine Kibaru-Mbae has listed 16 hospitals in Nairobi where citizens can get Covid-19 vaccination. This comes hours after the Acting Health director-general Dr. Patrick Omoth was vaccinated today at Kenyatta National Hospital becoming the first person in Kenya to get it. Kibaru said that both private and public hospitals will be used in the vaccination programme when it starts next week. The criteria used to list the facilities was based on the preparation level.

List of Wealthy Kenyans Who have Abandoned Ksh51B Assets From left: Senators James Orengo (Siaya), Moses Wetangula (Bungoma) and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka File The Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority (UFAA) has disclosed the names of wealthy Kenyans who are have not redeemed over Ksh 51 billion in assets and cash belonging to them or their families.  UFAA on Monday, March 1, said that the idle assets amounted to Ksh 51.4 billion in December 2020, a Ksh 8 billion rise from the Ksh 43 billion reported in June the same year.  The 19 percent increase was attributed to entities surrendering more assets on the introduction of penalties for not submitting unclaimed assets reports of between Ksh 7,000 to Ksh 50,000 per day. The deadline for submission, according to the agency, is November 1 of every year.

Dr Ramadhan becomes the third medic from Mama Lucy to be cleared after CEO Dr Emma Mutio and administrative officer Dr Regina Musembi, who were freed in November last year. “I have been instructed to terminate the case against Dr Ramadhan. There is no evidence linking the accused to the child trafficking syindicate,” state prosecutor Ms Evalyn Onunga told Milimani law court’s senior principal magistrate Ms Esther Kimilu. Ms Onunga said the accused who had been charged alongside two social workers, Makalla Fred Leparan and Selina Adunda Awuor, will be a state witness in the case. “There being no evidence to link the accused with the human trafficking syndicate, I allow the DPP’s plea and terminate the case against him,” Ms Kimilu ruled.
