The Inn at 1210 North 43rd Street has been vacant and is no longer occupied. According to a staff report the JDA would purchase the property from American Bank Center in Bismarck for $450,000 dollars. City staff have received a quote for asbestos abatement and removal at a cost of $269,150 dollars. The GF Assessing Department has the property value at over $1,000,000 dollars. If the project moves forward the bid to demolish the vacant motel could be completed later this year. The 5.7 acre parcel would then be open to potential redevelopment – including as a site for a potential Grand Forks Career & Technical Education Center. CTE Centers are designed to provide students with training to address workforce vacancies across the region.
