Driver killed in Thibodaux crash

Authorities are investigating a deadly crash in Thibodaux Sunday afternoon that claimed the life of a man.
A driver, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was traveling around 4:30 p.m. east on La. 304 near Belle River Drive in 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis at a high rate of speed, State police said.
For reasons under investigation, the driver veered off the roadway to the right and crossed three private driveways before striking an embankment and becoming airborne, police said. The car rolled over and came to a rest in a ditch.
The motorist, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

THIBODAUX - According to Louisiana State Police, a driver was killed in a Sunday afternoon crash on LA 304 near Belle Terre Drive.
Authorities say the fatal crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m., and the name of the driver is currently being withheld pending family notification.
In a news release, police said a preliminary investigation revealed the driver was headed east on LA 304 in a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis at a high rate of speed.
They add that for reasons that are currently unknown, the driver ran off of the roadway to the right and crossed three private driveways before hitting an embankment. At this point, the vehicle went airborne and then overturned, landing in a nearby ditch.
A motorcyclist who was killed in a crash Saturday on Gravois Road in Affton was a Lindbergh High graduate who “loved deeply and fought fiercely,” his family said in his obituary.
Justin Beger, 25, who was listed by police as being from St. Charles, was pronounced dead at 12:21 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at Mercy Hospital South, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
A 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by a 27-year-old from St. Louis was stopped in traffic eastbound on Gravois around 11:59 p.m. Saturday and started to make a left turn across the westbound lanes of Gravois, according to a police account.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in St. Louis County Saturday.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Justin Beger was killed in a crash just before noon on Gravois Road.
According to the report, Beger was riding his 2003 Kawasaki ZX6R westbound on Gravois. When a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis attempted to turn from eastbound Gravois to Weber Road, Beger attempted to slow down before entering into a skid.
