March 16, 2021 RIYADH The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance carried out 21,288 inspection tours in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s mosques during the sixth week of following up the implementation of precautionary measures and health protocols adopted by the Ministry in coordination with competent authorities to prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to a report issued on Monday by the ministry s agency for mosque affairs, the ministry carried out 125,435 inspection tours within six weeks to achieve the highest standards of safety in the mosques of Saudi Arabia. The report indicated that the ministry detected 314 violations of preventive measures, which were immediately addressed, noting that violations that were detected varied between not wearing face masks and not bringing prayer rugs, in addition to not implementing physical distancing.
