Top winners include an asphalt paving project in Lincoln County; a concrete paving project in Outagamie County; a grading project in Kenosha County; a small bridge project in Jackson County; a large bridge project in Adams and Juneau counties; and a large contract project in Dane County.

FOND DU LAC COUNTY, Wis. - An off-duty Fond du Lac County deputy, out celebrating a family member s birthday, jumped into action during the Fox River Mall Shooting that unfolded on Jan. 31.
Deputy Blaine Evans stopped into Scheels Sporting Goods after dinner when the mall shooting happened nearby. Without hesitation, he got his family to safety and ran to help a victim.

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. Grand Chute police arrested two more people Tuesday connected to last month’s deadly shooting at Fox River Mall.
According to a news release, Shirina H. Willis and Ralph W. P. Ellis were arrested without incident in Oshkosh and booked at the Outagamie County Jail.
The release said Willis and Ellis were arrested on suspicion of harboring and aiding a felon.

APPLETON, Wis. - A judge on Monday, Feb. 8 set bail at $1.5 million cash for a teenager charged in a fatal shooting at a shopping mall in eastern Wisconsin.
Dezman Ellis, 17, of Oshkosh, made his first appearance in Outagamie County Court on charges of first degree intentional homicide and first degree recklessly endangering safety. Ellis was transferred on Friday from Iowa, where he fled after the Jan. 31 shooting.
Ellis is accused of killing Jovanni Frausto, 19, at the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute during an argument over a girl. A bystander was wounded, and the shooting forced people to shelter in place inside the suburban Appleton mall while police combed the building.
