(AP Photo/John MacDonald) and last updated 2021-04-17 23:28:14-04 MOAB, Utah — Two men from Arizona were killed in a crash on the Moab Rim Jeep Trail Saturday afternoon. Around 1:30 p.m., witnesses called 911 to report a rollover crash on the trail. Emergency first responders arrived and found the vehicle s two occupants dead.

MOAB Two people are dead after their vehicle rolled over on the Moab Rim Jeep Trail Saturday afternoon. The driver of the vehicle, a 56-year-old Arizona man, and a passenger, a 47-year-old Arizona man, were both pronounced dead at the scene, according to Moab City police. Crews from Grand County Sheriff s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Moab Valley Fire Department, Grand County EMS, and the Utah Highway Patrol all responded to the scene and closed the canyon for several hours. Two die in rollover on Moab Rim Jeep Trail

Two Arizona men died when a vehicle they were in rolled off the Moab Rim Jeep Trail the afternoon of April 17, 2021. Witnesses at the scene said that the vehicle the men were in rolled backwards and fell some distance down the cliff face before landing on a bench above Kane Creek Road.  Grand County first responders including the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, Grand County Search and Rescue, Moab Valley Fire Department, Grand County EMS, and the Utah Highway Patrol were called to the scene and pronounced both the vehicle s occupants deceased on the scene. The two victims, a 56 year old man and a 47 year old man, have not been identified by authorities.
