Eric Chilton talks about his band playing in North Myrtle Beach this weekend Author: Eric Chilton Updated: 8:53 PM EDT July 23, 2021
GREENSBORO, N.C. It s no secret that I am a huge beach music and shag dancing fan. Since my brothers and sisters are a bit older than me I was listening to the music from as early as I can remember.
I can remember being at the Grand Strand in Myrtle and North Myertle Beach as a kid and hearing bands like The Tams, The Embers, The Catalinas and many others playing in venues along the ocean. I loved it. Little did I know that decades later me and my band would be playing at the O.D. Pavillion in North Myrtle.

If you live along the Grand Strand and in parts of the Pee Dee, you are not a stranger to flooding.
NASA researchers fear the flooding problems, along coastal South Carolina, are only going to get worse . They said there are a lot of factors that lead to sea level rise on the coast. Over the next decade or two, most of coastal United States is going to see a pretty sharp increase in coastal flooding, said Dr. Ben Hamlington of NASA s Sea Level Change team. Sea level rise is associated with global warming. Around the U.S., this has been a factor going on for the last century or so.
