The man who acted as a getaway driver when a retired Montreal detective was attacked in his home last year pleaded guilty Wednesday to his role in the assault.
Louis-Simon Jacques, 31, admitted he drove three men to the home of Pietro Poletti on June 12 and waited while the trio assaulted the retired organized crime expert and his 87-year-old mother. The three men then climbed into Jacques’s car and he drove away.
