The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is being used again in the U.S. In a statement, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) said, “After a thorough review of very rare adverse events following the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Western States Scientific Safety Review Workgroup supports the recommendation of the FDA and CDC to lift the pause on the vaccine.” The statement did add that clinics in the state can administer the vaccine as long as they provide educational materials about the low risk of associated health effects and offer other available vaccines. Monterey, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - Farm labor company owners and siblings Elias Perez, 40, of Greenfield, and Alejandra Perez, 37, of Soledad, were arraigned on over 20 felony counts of insurance and tax fraud after allegedly underreporting payroll by over $17 million resulting in a loss of over $1.42 million to their insurance companies. The Department of Insurance discovered the alleged fraud after learning that an injured employee was treated out of a garage by an unlicensed professional.
The Perezes are owners of farm labor contracting companies in Greenfield called PFL Contracting Inc., Future Ag Management, Inc. (FAM) and Future Harvesters and Packers, Inc., (FHP), which primarily hire farm labor employees to harvest crops.

The Monterey County District Attorney s Office has filed charges against a Pacific Grove man. 58 year old David Russell Stamm is alleged to have molested to children under 14 years old when he was the owner of the Monterey batting cages. According to official documents the incidents took place in 1998 through 1999 and the summer of 2005.

A Salinas resident has been sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison on multiple charges related to crimes in Seaside and Monterey.
The Monterey County District Attorney s Office said that 22-year-old Rafael Guzman was charged with first-degree robbery while armed with a gun, first-degree burglary, robbery, grand theft and two counts of unlawfully taking a vehicle. Police say he was involved in four separate incidents and multiple crimes.
