KENNEBUNK (WGME) – Elsa has come and gone, and while the storm put a dampener on some peoples’ vacations, it was also much-needed for others.
The waves at Mother’s Beach are pretty high and there is a high surf advisory in effect Friday night.
“It’s part of being a New Englander, you sort of have it in you to bear out a storm if necessary,” New Hampshire resident Patty Kasparian said.
Elsa was a real downer for some vacationing in Maine.
“We were supposed to stay on a campground in Deer Isle in Stongington tonight, but we decided to break the trip a little, we’ll wait on that and stay in Augusta and go to the campground tomorrow when it passes over,” New Hampshire resident Butch Conary said.
