Despite reports that Harry “blindsided” his grandmother, the prince turned that down during a March 2021 interview on CBS. “I have too much respect for her,” he shared at the time, noting that they discussed the exit three different times before it became public information.
“I’ve spoken more to my grandmother in the last year than I have done for many, many years,” he said during the interview, adding that they’ve Zoomed with her so she could see her grandson Archie. “My grandmother and I have a really good relationship and an understanding. And I have a deep respect for her. She’s my Colonel-in-chief, right? She always will be.”

Following the news last month that Princess Leonor of Asturias, the future Queen of Spain, will attend the UWC Atlantic College in Wales, a Dutch Princess is now also set to continue her education there. Following in the footsteps of her father, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, who attended the college as a teenager, 15-year-old Alexia is expected to join the institution this summer – joining the same 2023 graduating class as Leonor.
The official website for the Royal House of the Netherlands issued a statement on Tuesday 2 March stipulating: ‘After the summer Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia of the Netherlands will continue her secondary school studies at the United World College of the Atlantic (UWC Atlantic College) in Llantwit Major in Wales, where she will pursue her International Baccalaureate. Princess Alexia is currently in her fourth year at the Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet in The Hague.’
