Lakeridge, Valley Catholic seniors will represent Metro East and West on Rose Festival Court

Two more princesses were added to the 2021 Portland Rose Festival Court on Wednesday. Lakeridge High School senior Jillian North will represent Metro East, and Valley Catholic senior Lilianna “Lili” Rosebrook will represent Metro West.
North plans to study psychology at Portland State University and pursue a career as a marriage and family therapist. A competitive figure skater, she also works as a cashier at Fred Meyer. She is the daughter of Joanna and Jerry North.

“Everybody needs Public Relations, even a two-man organisation”
Speakers and participants at the Experiencing Public Relations book launch hosted by Nigerian Women in PR over the weekend have applauded the impressive initiative. The two-hour virtual experiential event and book launch, well attended by industry professionals, students and business executives from several countries including India, Ireland, Ghana, United Arab Emirates and Nigeria, featured knowledge sharing, practical strategy discussion, entertainment and networking sessions.
The event commenced with a book reading from the Experiencing Public Relations book by Oluwatoni Oluwasanya, a 300L Mass Communications student from the University of Lagos who is also a Student Ambassador for Nigerian Women in Public Relations.
