The singer, 36, looked sensational as she ditched her current platinum blonde tresses in favour of a black wig for some of the episode.
The judge showcased her sense of style for the show as she donned a figure-hugging black midi dress with a scooped neckline and a jewel print.

A week before the 93rd Academy Awards,
American Idol rolled out the red carpet for the top 12 as they performed Oscar-nominated songs. Judge Lionel Richie kicked the show off in grand fashion with âSay You, Say Meâ from the film
White Nights. The hit earned him a statuette for âBest Original Songâ in 1986.Â

Richie joined fellow judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan, who recovered from COVID. The
Idol hopefuls then gave their during the live broadcast for Americaâs vote. In-house mentor Bobby Bones helped them mentally prepare for the stage.
However, only nine made it through and get to take a trip to Disney World in Orlando. Host Ryan Seacrest revealed Beane, Ava August, and Madison Watkins had their curtain call.

 he was able to return to his rightful place alongside his fellow judges Lionel andÂ
Katy Perry just in time for them to watch the Top 12 dwindle down to the Top 9.
