CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - Itâs the start of Tax Filing Season and the pandemic has changed a lot of things including tax returns.
It has also prompted a lot of questions from filers.
Madison Mueller is a tax accountant in Carbondale with Janice Burns Payne and Associates LLC. She said stimulus payments you received in 2020 and even possibly in 2021 are not included in your taxable income.
She said to pay attention to the stimulus payment guidelines.
âHowever based on your 2020 income tax return you might be eligible to receive more if you were somebody who didnât receive the full payment,â said Mueller.
Los Angeles doctor fights to ensure vaccine distribution in Black community

Jerry Abraham and his staff went out in the community to set residents up with appointments and secured transportation to the center for their vaccinations.
Jerry Abraham is going above and beyond to ensure Black folks are vaccinated.
The doctor of the Kedren Community Health Center in South L.A. demanded that the Black and brown community that he serves receive the vaccine, and it worked.
As reported by
TMZ, the county did not provide the center with the vaccine, so the doctor took it upon himself to ensure they received the proper amount of doses.
“I just introduced H. Res. 25,” Rep.
Cori Bush (D-Mo.) wrote on Twitter. “It would, under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, investigate and expel GOP members of Congress who attempted to overturn the election and incited a white supremacist attack.”

The 14th Amendment primarily addresses the rights of American citizens, commonly cited in litigation as “equal protection under the law.” Landmark cases, such as Brown v. Board of Education, deeming racial segregation in public school unconstitutional, and Roe v. Wade, granting women abortion rights, invoked the 14th Amendment.
