He crashed into the side of road damaging his motor car MA394 and finally came to a stop.

March 3, 2021 Vendor Shayne Douglas Marshall has been charged with illegally dumping coconut shells at one of this island’s quarries. When the 57-year-old, of Rock Hall, St Philip appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts he pleaded not guilty to breaching Regulation 5 clause (i) of the Health Services (Nuisances) Regulation 1969 Chapter 44. It is alleged that Marshall deposited coconut shells in the area of Oldbury Quarry in such a state as to be dangerous to health. He pleaded not guilty to the charge before the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court telling the magistrate “I was put in a situation”. The matter was adjourned until May 5 and he is on $500 bail in the meantime.

Three without masks fined

Social Share Three men were fined $250 each Friday for breaching COVID-19 Directive No.4 by not wearing masks. Shaquawn Joseph and Dwayne Trim, both of Hinds Gap, Halls Road, St Michael, along with Jaquan Stoute, of Marlhole Gap, also in St Michael, all pleaded guilty to contravening the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (Curfew) (No.4) Directive 2021, by failing to wear a mask in a public while at Hinds Gap, Halls Road, on February 22. The three men apologised and insisted they would never disobey the law again. Joseph and Trim were back in the court, following their appearance at District “A” Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Manila Renee last week on drug charges. They were both placed on bonds to keep the peace, Joseph for six months and Trim for a year, respectively.
