Blue River defeated Randolph Southern Friday night in the Class A Tri girlsâ basketball sectional, 50-27.
The Lady Rebels came in as significant underdogs, but kept things interesting early with a deliberate pace, trailing just 4-2 after one period.Â
Maci Chamberlin, the schoolâs new record-holder for three-pointers in a season, broke loose for the Vikings by scoring 10 points in the second quarter, but Southern remained within striking distance at halftime, trailing by eight at 20-12.
The talented Vikings, though, put it away in a 20-point the third quarter with the Rebels managing just one bucket.
Chamberlin led the Vikings with 16 points. Grace Wallace led the Rebels with eight points.
